i hear the darkness breathing

I.
you're all asleep in the soft colors i hear the darkness breathing like a large white angel pounded to a pulp crushed & stained in the womb's pit you listen dreamlessly to wild sounds into the trees wearing these robes are two pale figures glass stained & pretty as dead leaves drenched & twisted all night in a room in the eyes of these beings there is a green rain for the world all bleeding everything slowing down into dangerous curves for the last time when they kiss

II.
in my dream i watch the hours write silences with sounds & hands & secrets changing the night i stare alone into a dumb howl until my soul travels to that place so beautiful that memories fade & eat sacrifices my heart bleeds on an eternity the sound is deep & shapeless with fear & shadows whisper your name in the hollow water & leave your body on a sunny floor how beautifully you became two glass beads & sweated in my empty arms all trembling like swans so far away across the water in the rain

III.
on couches in temples beautifully naked masked strangers stop & kneel catch our eyes like lanterns & shriek as the wild angel runs soiled by the same ancient scream that oiled you talking all night crying like an opium dream
