Captain Jack Harkness Questions & Answers

No spoilers please! I am on the last episode of season 1. In the previous episode, Jack kissed the original Jack Harkness and also it was revealed that he has a sexual relationship with Ianto. According to past yahoo answers, it was "hinted at in the first few episodes" that Jack was bisexual. I do not own the dvds. I never watched Dr. Who. Can anyone tell me SPECIFICALLY when/how Captain Jack's orientation was alluded to on the actual show Torchwood BEFORE the end of season 1? Thank you!

John Barrowman has revealed that Torchwood's Stateside popularity has led to the third season being toned down. The Captain Jack Harkness actor told The People: "We're not swearing or doing anything close to the bone because it's been a huge success in the US and the networks won't accept it with all that stuff in it." "We're doing everything so it doesn't have to be heavily edited for the US," Barrowman claimed, before adding: "I'll still be getting naked and it will still be saucy - but it's done with taste." Torchwood has achieved record ratings on BBC America and moves to BBC One for a shortened run of five episodes, expected to be screened over consecutive nights in the Spring.

Filming for the third series of the smash hit drama Torchwood, created by Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies, has begun in Cardiff. Due to transmit in 2009 on BBC One, the series - called Torchwood: Children Of Earth - sees the team embarking on a single action-packed adventure as they battle for the future of the human race against the most fierce force they have encountered. The highly motivated Torchwood team are John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness, Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper, and Gareth David-Lloyd as Ianto Jones. Other regular cast involved in their high-octane adventure are Kai Owen as Rhys Williams, Gwen's husband, and Tom Price as PC Andy. Special guests in the five part series are Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who, The Thick of It, Skins), who plays the role of Mr Frobisher - a civil servant who's hiding a terrible secret; Paul Copely (Coronation Street, The Bill) as Clem - the survivor still haunted by his past and Liz May Brice (Bad Girls, The Bill) as Johnson - the cynical covert government agent determined to expose Torchwood. Russell T Davies said: "The new series of Torchwood is hugely bold and promises to be bigger and better than ever - the audience is in for an amazing ride. This series is one big serial and the most ambitious story we've ever made, and we've got plenty of surprises in store." Julie Gardner, Head of Drama BBC Wales said: "We hope to make Torchwood a gripping and surprising TV event with storylines that push our team into greater danger and sacrifice. Joining our main cast are some fantastic guest artists who will only add to making this unmissable TV." The new series is executive produced by Russell T Davies and Julie Gardner. The producer is Peter Bennett (Doctor Who). Torchwood: Children of Earth is written by Russell T Davies, John Fay (Clocking Off, Coronation Street, Mobile) and James Moran (Doctor Who, Torchwood) and directed by Euros Lyn (best director in BAFTA Cymru TV Awards, Doctor Who, George Gently).

Best answer wins a trip in the Black Pearl to Cardiff.

These two fictional characters of scifi are so similar. From the way they dress(the hair cut, suspenders, ect.) to their attitudes, to the same style of gun, and even the same title. Does anyone know if Russel T. Davis used him as a point of inspiration for his character Capt. Jack.

I was watching season 1 episode 7 (of the 2005 series) and a journalist pointed out to the doctor that on the bad wolf channel the face of boe announced that he was pregnant. On the tv it said "face of boe epecting baby boemina". How can this be? hes also just a face i mean wtf?

i love watching doctor who and torchwood and would like to know if any one knows when Captain Jack Harkness is coming back to doctor who and when torchwood is back.

And why? male or female I have 2... John Barrowman because he is an amazing actor. http://kirinsama.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/captain_jack_harkness.jpg And Neil Patrick Harris because he's so funny. http://l.yimg.com/img.tv.yahoo.com/tv/us/img/site/51/00/0000035100_20061021055012.jpg lol Scoundrel i think he's amazing and his looks don't hurt either

Doctor Who or Torchwood? Or neither? ~ Personally, I just got into both of them, but I saw Torchwood first (which I believe is a spin-off of Doctor Who). I love the character Captain Jack Harkness (and the actor John Barrowman as well :) so my preference is Torchwood, but Doctor Who is really fun! Opinions?

Is Pompeii the place where Captain Jack Harkness said was a good place for one of his con's but you have to set your clock for Volcano Day. In The episode The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances

Rose Tyler Captain Jack Harkness Donna Noble Martha Jones ----------- Mine would have to be Rose Tyler & Donna Noble :D

What is the time frame for Captain Jack as i'm a bit confused at the moment, as he keeps crossing his time line. Was he working for Trochwood in the first series of the revamped Dr Who, in the episodes "Aliens of London" and World War III, as Toshiko Sato was in "Aliens of London" covering for a hungover Owen Harper. And then in the episode "Boom Town" there was pre Torchwood Captain Jack with the 9th Doctor and Rose and also Torchwood Captain Jack and cryo-chamber Captain Jack, which is abit confuseing say the most. So can anybody tell me the time frame of Captain Jack from start to finish.

http://blogs.sun.com/drax/resource/2653_JackSparrow300.jpg http://kirinsama.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/captain_jack_harkness.jpg Tough call, I realise. Take your pick, and say why if you like ;)

I know that the Doctor makes a habit of dragging his female companians around, but does 9 or 10 ever actually grab Jacks hand and start running?

ask to see his big alien weapon?

Naoko Mori (Toshiko Sato) - appeared as a scientist in aliens of london Eve Myles (Gwen Cooper) - appeared as Gwyneth in the unquiet dead Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) - Aswell as playing Martha in the TV series she also appearead as a waitress in the rise of the cybermen and of course John Barrowman (Captain Jack Harkness) have you noticed any others

is captain jack harkness from doctor who and torchwood human or humanoid?

Was Jack meant to be the face of Boa... Or was that just me? Cool ... that would explain why he always wants to say somthing to The Dr when he thinks he going to die... lol

On the net it says he will appear in later episodes of the 2008 series. Do you think that this is a way to keep him in both Dr Who and Torchwood, or is just a coincidence for when Martha returns? Should Captain Jack come back full time?

The actor who plays Captain Jack Harkness in Torchwood and Doctor Who I just wanna now because He plays a gay man, only that!

what happened to him in Doctor Who that made him inmortal?, what did they do to him exactly?

Does anybody know if the final episode of Series 3 of Doctor Who is the last time John Barrowman will star as Captain Jack Harkness? I know he's going to carry on Torchwood Series 2. For those of you who are picky I mean Series 3/Series 29

Throwaway comment a the end of the last series is it true or false Last time he saw the Face of Boe Boe said he would see him once more and for the last time and how did captain Jack become tha big giant head if he cannot die, as can see little resemblance between the two

Captain Jack Harkness wears in Torchwood, Doctor who (UK) Online or Shop

Did you watch the last one of the 3rd series? OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! Captain Jack Harkness is the face of Boe. It all comes together in the end. It's amazing the way Russel T Davis Wrote it. Its really clever. I can't believe Catherine Tate is the new companion in the 4th episode. Then martha is coming back half way through. Kylie Minogue Is in the Christmas special. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for giving it away for the people in the States!! =] The master was brilliant aswell!!!!!!!!!!!! He's actually fit. David is fit and so is john even if he is gay

So Do You Think He Will Get His TARDIS Back Of His Arch Nemises THE MASTER Cant Wait To See Captain Jack Harkness

Who are you more like http://www.quizilla.com/users/torchwoodspook/quizzes/Which%20doctor%20who%20character%20are%20you%3F/ It said that im like Captain Jack Harkness

Harkness dose anybody know how jack got back to the year 2006 In the Dr Who episodes Bad Wolf and The Parting of the Ways they are in the year 200,000 and the Dr and Rose leave Jack behind so how did he get back to the year 2006??

I've just watched this weeks Dr. Who and the face of Boa said he is not alone but the Dr is convinced he IS the last time lord. What about Captain Jack Harkness? He is a time lord, has the Dr forgot him? Or, was he not a true time lord?

at the end of torchwood he vanished away in the tardis but he's not in doctor who the new series? does anybody know anything?

I am looking to buy a greatcoat (similar to the one worn by Captain Jack Harkness in the tv series "Torchwood") but I can't seem to find one in my size. I am small, so this makes the problem more difficult. If anyone has any places or websites where they think I could find one (in either dark blue or grey) please tell me! I'm beginning to get desperate! The coat can be either vintage or new, I'm not bothered.

If you answer this question, please answer the following as well: The Doctor or Captain Jack Harkness Tardis or the Torchwood Jeep Rose Tyler or Gwen Cooper Adam Mitchell or Owen Harper Sarah - Jane Smith or Toshiko Sato Thankyou. PS, You don't have to answer all of these. Answer as many as you can.
