I loved it and was totally mesmerised by the whole story and the acting. Andy Serkis and David Tennant could not have been better! It seems a shame to think that Eddington's theories were largely forgotten when he made such a huge contribution to science I am sure most of us were unaware of. I will most certainly be doing some research into both Einstein and Eddington - the whole programme was a fascinating eye opener into the world of physics and the general relativity theory. And I must say, I was most impressed by the tablecloth, bread loaf and apple analogy, it made perfect sense!

Not saying that absolutely nobody had heard of him before he became the Tenth Doctor, but now that he's announced that he's leaving I've been thinking about how to prepare myself for a new Doctor. This is my first new doctor, though I've seen every episode from "The Keeper of Traken" (second to last of Tom Baker) All the way up through "Journey's End" and several other episodes from before that of each Doctor including each regeneration episode. But I've only been a fan of Doctor Who for the last 14 months or so, so this is the first time that "My Doctor" will have changed. I'm trying to figure out what to expect as I'm not very familiar with too many british actors and so almost anybody they pick would just about be a "nobody" to me unless they pick someone from Harry Potter movies... Anyway, I was just wondering how well known David Tennant really was both to British fans and American or other international fans of the show. So just wondering if back in 2005 when they announced that DT would be #10, how many of you Who fans asked "David Who?" and what kind of expectations did you have of him before you saw the first episode with him in it? I also have to add that David Tennant, in my opinion, is the best Doctor of them all and It'll be sad to see him go but also thankful that he was the one picked to be #10. So what are your thoughts on all this? I mean I know he was in most of this other stuff, and I sort of subconsciously knew he was in Harry Potter from the credits but that was before I had seen him in Doctor Who. I guess I should have rephrased this question as "Was David Tennant's big career boost from Doctor Who or was he already at least half as famous as he is now before he became the Doctor" And I'd also like to add that I agree with you that his role as Barty Crouch Jr. was extremely cut down by the scriptwriters of HP, had they been more acurate to the books we would have seen more of him. But just think David Tennant taught Harry Potter the unforgivable curses and all the rest of that year in DATDA class.

I can think of some people in their thirties that look good fo their age e.g. David Tennant, Scott Maslen...etc Whereas some people go bald and look older eg Dominic burn, Jake Wood... etc Can you tell what you will be like? my p.e teacher is in his thirties but he's bald and looks at least 45

We're going to miss him...aren't we? I think he's an amzing actor and i love him as Doctor Who, but when i found out he was quitting i didn't feel as sad as i thought i would. It has been announced that after the Christmas '08 Special and the four '09 Specials our beloved David Tennant will be leaving the show and will no longer play the Doctor. My question is who will be playing the Doctor next?
