John Barrowman is a glaswegian! I know he has lived in the usa for a long time, and was well known over there, long before he appeared on tv here. I know he decided to get rid of his glaswegian accent when us tv kept making fun, but he has admitted in interviews he reverts to his normal scots accent when around family. So why keep it up on tv over here in britain, only reverting back to his glasgow accent when telling jokes (such as yesterday on paul o grady!)? This puts him across as completely fake, when overwise seems like a genuine and quite a funny character. Does he hate the business that much, is it a bad habit, or is he just trying to put across that when working on tv not to take anything too seriously? What do you think?

For example, I used to know someone who was born in Scotland but raised in England, they spoke with an English accent until another scottish person came along and then the broadest scots accent came out! Also watching John Barrowman (born in Scotland , raised in America) always has an american accent on the tv but was talking to a scottish man and was replying with his scots accent! Anyone else think this is brilliant? (also is it just scottish accents?)

I've been a fan for a long time and the new series has some nice concepts in there. The best has to be Captain Jack, he'll sleep with anything that moves lol. Theres also the two ladies in "Gridlocked" who are married. Nice little touch there. And as I remember Martha asked some guy in "42" whether he had a girlfriend or boyfriend. Its just nice to hear that somebody considered that we exist normally instead of using gay people as a clever plot device in some drama. The other reason I admire it is because of all the gay people working on the show...Russel T Davis, John Barrowman, Phil Collinson ect.

...but I'm scared of the consequesnces of coming out myself. 've just started University, and haven't told anyone there either. I'm really shy, probably becuase my dad's that way and so he's never been able to encourage me socially, so I don't know how to talk to people comfortably and keep a conversation going, and I don't think I have any wit in the conversation (it's like I have to think about what to say half a minute before I say it so it sounds decent....etc....).... I think I probably come across as a boring person, because I never know what to say. Anyway, my problem is, my dad is so anti-gay. Whenever someone is on tv who is gay, he just has to comment, saying somethin like "he's gay", and he always pulls a sick lookin face whenever a gay person is on tv, eg. grahem norton, john barrowman. Well, I think my mum would try to be ok with it, coz she's said before that she wunt kick any of her kids out if they wer gay, but I guess I'm just a coward... I don't want them to know, but then again, I need them to know asap so i can stop being in this constant state of depression. So ye, I know my dad wud be bad with it, I'd just feel depressed coz of the rejection from someone who should be close to me. I had a weird dream that me and some other girls were on a school trip to San Francisco with our teacher. We were talking about doing a pub crawl (even though none of us are 21). I am sat with 2 other girls on a couch and there are 2 more on the floor. This is all taking place in a supermarket aisle. Then I realise the teacher is John Barrowman, and his husband Scott is there too. When the meeting finishes, John gets up to say bye/see you later or whatever and starts kissing everyone on the lips (in a friendly way). When he gets to me he pretends he's done, then smiles and kisses me and the rest of the girls. He then puts a grape in my mouth and does the same to the girl sitting next to me on the couch. He then does the same to the two girls on the floor. Then he gives me and the girl sat next to me another grape. She eats hers and John gives the third girl on the couch a funny looking grape and jokingly says 'because you're my least favorite'. I look at my grape and see its got a weird mouldy bit on it so I say 'I must be your least favorite, look at my grape!' He takes the grape off me and puts a weird small spikey plant thing in my right hand. I flick it off because it kinda hurt. Then he started to lick my left hand all over. Then i told him it was my right hand that was hurt, so he licked that all over too. I had to laugh and say 'ewww' so he thought i was playing along and didn't enjoy it, but Dream-Me thought it was quite 'erotic'. Then he stopped, smiled at me and walked away. So did everyone else. I wasn't going to wash my hands, but then thought everyone would think I was weird so i went to a sink and started to wash them. My hands felt weird like they had little bits of peanut on them (maybe John has been eating some before he licked me?). Then the girl who was sat next to me on the couch came over and started playfully tease me saying i loved every minute of that, from the kiss to the licking. Then John walks past and he smiles at me, and i go bright red and smile back. The girl starts giggling at me, and then I woke up. Does anyone know what this mean?! How come he spoke in a Scottish accent with his parents? I could understand if he just spoke slightly Scottish, it would seem natural to speak a bit like them, but he sounded REALLY Scottish! How come?

Both accents are lovely, but he drifted into Scottish as soon as he spoke to them, having been "American" the rest of the time.

I have a selection of three. My first one is 'Cloverfield', and thats just because it was nothing like how it was described. My second on is 'There Will be blood' and thats because its just a movie about oil and its sort of boring as it doesnt go anywhere. My third worst one is Shark Attack 3 Megalodon.
